  This is one of my favorite songs, it has helped me through quite a lot of stuff. I'm currently writing an exegetical paper on Psalm 139 (I'm a student at a Christian University) and upon reading the passage I realized that this song really fits what the scripture says, especially in verses 7-10. It says, "Where can I go from your spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there. If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there your hand will hold me fast". I'm not sure if you realized the connection or not..but it definitely brought a new meaning to the song for me and also made writing the paper easier lol.

  Hey guys! (and girls!) for helping people get closer and closer to God. I heard this song when you were singing in Des Moines, IA for Winter Jam. I was with my friends and when I heard it it was if God was helping me through my life and my soul by the end of your song was soaring! I cannot wait for another chance to hear you again at a fairly close concert. (I live around an hour and a half away from Des Moines in the Southwest and the long drive was way worth it.   hey guys. I just wanted to let you know what this song met to me. I first heard it at my Confirmation retreat andit wass the background music to a skit some other kids were doing about even when you walk away from god, hes still there by your side the song went with it perfectly (by the end of it Iwas crying my eyes out). Now I'm hooked on Christian music and I never realized that God could speak so powerfuly through music. Thanks for the AMAZING song

  i love your music infact ur song "by your side" brought me to god and helped me open my eyes and finally except god into my life. without u and ur music i probably wouldnt even be in such a good relationship with god as i am now. im thirteen and so in love with god and all thanks to u god bless u and ur families

  Hey guys you are awesome and your songs touch my heart. My Brother bought me the CD and sent it to me, Him and I are states apart but he seems to know my heart... And when I got this CD. My heart cried out to know that there are simple people that feel the same way I do sometimes like a lost child, but yet in times we know that he is there, and times to sing his praise some times feels so great but you wonder if it is ever enough... Well I read the inside of the front cover of the cd and you guys have real heart... When I sang, I felt the same way.. Its all for him but it is to show people what he is about and his love and guidence in the time of need.. I pray for you guys everyday that God will guide you all to get his message out. May God be with you and guide your steps... I live in tupelo or there abouts and cant wait to see you guys come here I hope I get a Chance to see you all when you get here...   I thought I'd share with everyone the story of how I really got in to Tenth Avenue North. And it all starts with this song...my family goes to Edisto Island on the coast of South Carolina every year for vacation. So that's where this story starts. Firstly, you should know that in the Summer of 2009, my faith was dying and I was akmost ready to give up Christianity. When we wnt to Edisto, I was at my wits end. I had a bad attitude and a lazy spirit. I was bitter and angry. One night, after looking back and seeing how much I had stuggled with sexual sin recently, I was overcome with grief and remorse and I sat on the upstairs deck of our beach house sobbing my heart out. As I watched the shooting stars fallfreely out of the sky, I continued to cry in the pitch-black darkness of Edisto nights. As I sat there, sobbing as if the world would end, I screamed out, "God, do you even CARE? Am I still loved? Will you have me back?!!!!" I also just happened to be flipping through the recently purchased section of my IPod and I came across this song. Lyrics such as "And I'll be by your side whenever you call" and "My hands are holding you" and "Cause I--I love you!" rang out louder than the waves below me. To this day I remember that time as a sacred and tender moment with me and my savior. That was a turning point for me--I am finally beginning to overcome the chains of sexual sin and I feel as if I owe just a bit of this to all of you.   Today has been a hard day for me....and I just got around to watching EVERY SINGLE VIDEO YOU GUYS HAVE ON YOUTUBE AND ON HERE. And I just watched this interview and I realized...that as much as I love God....it's never enough. He still loves me more. Thanks for all you guys have done. You are amazing.

  I just want to thank you guys for this song, and tell you what a blessing it was to me the first time I heard it, and how it continues to be a blessing everytime I listen to it again. The first time i heard this song I had just gotten my heart broken into a million pieces by a man that I know God never wanted me to be with. I felt like an awful person for ever being with him and just so lost and alone and I didn't feel like I could pray because there was no way God could just forgive me after I turned my back on Him for so many months. I didn't really listen to Christian music at that time either, but I turned on an online Christian radio station and this was the first song that came on and I really felt like God was speaking to me through the song. It was at that point that I committed to turning my life back to Him. It's a constant struggle to remember it was His grace that first saved us, and by nothing we have ever done, and that He loves us despite anything we could do, and all we have to do is ask for forgiveness. So, thank you again; God has really used you all to communicate His love to the people who listen to this song. and it really changed my life.

  Hey I just watched this video on Sunday and I wanted to let you know that it blew my mind. The things said in the video were things that were spoken in the church plant that I'm part of. We were leading worship and between to songs we started praying because God had told our pastor that some of us felt unworthy of his love and of worshiping Him. So God just broke a bunch of us down and comforted us in that time. It was amazing. So I just wanted to say, Mike you are right on course with God's plan!

  This comment really is not a reply to the video, but a note to you all in general. When I met you all in Carrollton at the meet and greet (and eat b/c I ended up eating some of ya's food), it was amazing to see how humble you all were. I had gone to the concert, only knowing the single 'By Your Side,' and I was interested in the concert to see Audrey play. I even spoke to the Jason, and I was like, 'What do you do with the band?' He was like, 'I'm the drummer.' And I replied, 'My bad. I don't even know if you guys are Tenth Avenue North or Tenth North Avenue.' But it didn't really matter b/c you guys were just down-to-earth. And it really blew me away that when I asked y'all if I could pray with you and for you before the show, it really humbled me further. I could have left then, and it would have been a great night.   I loved the story behind the song. Each day I continue to be ministered to by the music you guys make. I am very thankful that you were able to release the karaoke version. This week I am blessed to perform it at service at the opening of our new sanctuary. Please pray that God can open hearts and save songs through my voice and your music. My new wife and I continue to pray for the band, crew, and your families as you bring the great news of God's love and forgiveness across the nation.   I luv how you did the switcheroo on mom. That was great but oh so sneaky LOL! I still remember the first time I had heard this song. I was going through a rough time & then K-Love plays this song & it felt like God was talking right to me. The funny thing is, is that every time I hear this song, I get that same feeling. That no matter what I am going through, God is by my side. I am terrified of being alone & whenever I hear this song, I know that I am NEVER alone because God is right here w/ me no matter what.   When I first heard this song when it was released on the radio, I fell in love with the message behind it.   The very first time I heard By Your Side was at a very dark time in my life. My husband had just left me. I never felt so lost and alone. So I cried out to God. When I heard your song on the radio, it touched me right to my very soul.I knew it wasn't just a song to me. It was God singing to me! SO STRONG AN POWERFUL! I really felt Jesus right by my side holding me up and helping me along.(still do!) I just wanted to let know how much your song means to me. It is literally God's song to me! btw, after six months, my husband and I reconciled and God is healing us both and building a much better life for us. God is awesome!!!

  This song means so much to me! I hear it on KLOVE & it's always at just the right time. There's been days when it's been the first song I hear in the morning & the last one I hear at night.   That is amazing! You really explain it well. Even when I didn't understand every single word (I don't speak english well and I have to listen about three times very carefully and look up in a dictionary when I don't know what a word means), the message is so great. No one can be perfect, no one can earn the love of God and forgiveness. But we don't have to. God is so beautiful! I love movies like this, when that meaning of a song is explaining.   lol on the leash thing-ee. That's hysterical. My bro had one and he's a pastor now...so it's all good. Once in a great while a song comes along that pierces into hearts in such a way that you know it's truly inspired. One listen to "By My Side" and it's not difficult to see it has a balm for this generation that is wrestling with so many questions. Thank you for reflecting His heart in such an awesome way w/this wonderful song!

  So true! Sometimes I feel like I have to fix myself, and I forget that I'm already made perfect because of what Jesus did for me. The bit about the leash was hilarious! I remember seeing a kid being pulled around on one of those things at Knotts Berry Farm when I was little, and for some reason I thought it was a good idea back then =)

  First, Congratulations! You'll be an excellent dad, and Kelly an awesome mommy. Second, my laptop is being funky so I can't hear your above video; however, I can attest (and have written you many thank yous on this (these) songs) that the lyrics have touched my life more than I can tell you or that you'd ever know. Its lead me on the path to Jesus big-time. It's only been a couple years now that I've been seeking him again, and when you came along, it just clinched it. Truly. I love Him so much - sometimes I get so overwhelmed, I thank him all through the day for being by my side, don't know where I'd be without Him. You put in to words exactly what I needed.   What is that tattoo on Mike's right arm? Did he get it before he became a christian? I mean, it's pretty clear in Leviticus 19:28 in the laws of attaining pure holiness. But I can understand. Kutless has a lot of tattoos. My dad went to one of your concerts and he says y'all have sound doctrine. And that as long as y'all don't allow money or anything to cloud your relationship with God, y'all will do very well. But you won't get really really famous. Like world-wide. No offense. Well, I still love y'all. Your band and songs are awesomely amazing.

  Oh my goodness! Mike's a daddy! Congrats! How's the momma? I guess Mike doesn't know the meaning of a hectic yet. Where did the name Eisley come from? How do you pronounce that? Even my best friends still don't pronounce my name right. Now that Mike is a daddy is he going to get sane and settle down some? :) That video was hilarious! Mean Mike. I knew he was crazy when he was little. Like chewing on his crib etc. But I didn't think he was malicious. I was the same way. awesome site. Wow, six pounds. That's tiny!
