So the words of Warren Barfield’s song “Love Is Not a Fight” linger in my head. Driving at 4:30 AM last night in the curvy mountains of Virginia gave me time to listen to it on repeat.
I encourage you all to find this song and listen to it. It speaks so much truth it hurts to listen to.
I know that it’s playing on radio stations around the country, so if you’re reading this in Tulsa, Oklahoma or mid-country New Jersey, listen to this song, call your radio station, tell them people NEED to hear this song.
I believe in these lyrics so much, hopefully you will too.

Love is not a place
To come and go as we please
Itís a house we enter in
And then commit to never leave

Lock the door behind you
Throw away the key
Weíll work it out together
Let it bring us to our knees

Love is a shelter in the raging storm
Love is peace in the middle of a war
If we try to leave, may God send His angels to guard the door
No, love is not a fight but itís something worth fighting for.

To some, love is a word
That they can fall into
But when theyíre falling out
Keeping that word is hard to do

Love will come to save us
If weíll only call
He will ask nothing of us
But demand we give our all

I will fight for you
Would you fight for me?
Itís worth fighting for

Two days ago we had the opportunity to play at the Six Flags in New Jersey.
Let me say, fun times.
I discovered my new favorite roller coaster - the best darned wooden track I’ve ever been a part of. EL TORRO.

There at the Six Flags I took part in history by riding “Kinda Ka” - the world’s tallest and fastest coaster.
Looming over the entire park it’s a tribute to the highest of heights that man can achieve in the name of “a good time.”
This sucker goes from 0 to 128mph in 3.5 seconds, it’s 456 feet tall and the ride is so intense it only lasts 50.6 seconds.

All this to say, Kinda Ka was rearing it’s ugly face everywhere you looked.
Like the Eye of Sauron keeps watch over Middle-earth, Kinda Ka keeps watch over Six Flags.

As I was waiting in line to ride this beast of a machine I was walking in one direction with two other lanes of people going the opposite direction…you know how it works. Kind of like cattle being herded to be butchered. Anyway, as I was going back while everyone was going forth I was able to see the look on many of the peoples faces. As the cart zoomed off next to us to soar up the tower I could see the observing faces follow it with their eyes. Some faces bore smiles and looks of anticipation, others were very stoic, some had a slight look of concern and fear in their eyes. I was quickly warped into the future when the Lord appears in the sky. Just as Kingda Ka’s enormity caused the attention and response of everyone in line, so God will have much more of an effect on the world when we all look to the sky on that day…

That’s all. I just had that thought.

It was pretty neat to see that. Neat-o.

Random fact for the day: If you live on the same hemisphere of the earth your whole life, you will only see the same face of the moon all your days on this planet.

I have been influenced by Scott.
Scott listed his current influences.
Because I am influenced by Scott, I will share my influences too.

Darwin’s Black Box by Michael J. Behe
Halfway done with this book and I am already convinced that Darwinian theory is totally wack-attack. Behe takes a micro and biochemical approach to challenge the Darwinist standpoint in evolution…. in which you’ll find out is no standpoint in most cases. Evolutionists have very little explanation or reason for how irrefutably complex systems like animal cells, the human eye, and the bombardier beetle’s defense mechanism came to be.

Silverchair: Live From Far Away Stables
One of my favorite bands rocking it Live style.

LOST
My most favorite show of all time. the X-files is a very close second. This show has really opened my eyes to the complexity and dimensions of the human imagination. What these writers and producers create (by keeping all previous and future episodes in mind) with this show is fantastic. I can’t help but think about how God’s hand weaves in and out of time and space in our lives and ties our stories together. It’s crazy. Crazy enough to keep me watching season after season.

Castledoor
This band is from CA. A great example of a couple husbands and wives in a band. Their songs are wonderfully constructed and there’s great tones for the audiophile. The lead singer’s voice might sound familiar to you too…

Eisley
One of my most cherished bands of all time. Funny phrase: “of all time.” What does that mean? I’ll rephrase that and say “that I have enjoyed for many years.”
This band of brothers and sisters can sing me to sleep any time they want. I like to put them on when I’m feeling imaginative or creative.

the Myriad
A form of music I can relate to. What Jeff’s brain sounds like when he’s dreaming.

Yesterday, my friend Hayley said the nicest thing anyone has ever said to me before.

“I hope that one day you get to go to the moon.”

A boy can only dream.

We talked about the way the future is shaping up and it looks like it may be possible in my lifetime for that to happen.
Apparently countries are racing to claim property and real estate there. I think the moon should be free for anyone with a dream and a spaceship.
