The Inside and In Between

Well hello everyone.  So I am sitting on the bus in Oklahoma City waiting for an available shower to cleanse myself of all the dirty road scum you aquire and I thought to myself… “self, let’s let everyone know how the tour is going.”  So here I am ready to give you the inside and in between on the Inside and In Between Tour.  I must say, BRAVO.  We have really been blown away by how many of you really like us.  The first 3 shows have been sold out and more people have came than we ever would have thought.  And to top that off, so far we have had over 50 compassion children sponsored.  That’s exciting!  We really have had an awesome time with Brenton and Audrey.  It just seems to be a great group of people doing this together.  We just ask that you continue to pray for us and the tour.  It is very easy for people to put us up on some pedestal as if we are more important than others.  On of our goals on this tour is break that illusion and to really just have a conversation about the gospel with you… from one screwed up person to another. We pray that God is using us in that way.  Thanks again for your support and be looking out for some video content.  It’s coming soon I promise.

Jason

    Jason,
I will never be able to express to you the inspiration your music has brought into my life through the use of the Gospel.  Although I know all the words to every song, watch your tweets, and check the web site it is not because I am a “super fan” it is because your words quicken the Holy Spirit within.  You are tools being used by God to reach millions everyday.  You are truly blessed.  See you Friday at Olivet :)

I think that the biggest testimony that you guys have is your humility. The whole pedestal thing is so true. I am in a missionary family in Poland and when we go back to the states every two years it is hard not to feel superior to the “normal” people in our supporting churches, but then there’s you. You are so much more “famous”  than I but you still have and amazing amount of humility. I was in Orlando in May and I went to see you and was really impressed with your humility. You are all a tremendous example to me! Thanks and keep up the good work!
    Sincerely,
    Screwed-Up Isaac

Right there with you on the screwed up part it seems that I can’t go two seconds with out saying something wrong or doing something wrong. But it’s just like that song “but the voice of truth tells me a different story the voice of truth says do not be afraid the voice of truth says this is for my glory”. I love that song and now I relize that a lot of the time I’m not the one doing something wrong or unholy. I get teased constantly about what music I listen to (that includes you and other christian music to) but i love it and it encourages me every day. Keep writing so I can keep going to sleep and waking up to great christian music. I love you guys and I’m praying for you!!!!!

Just wondering if you own a PS3? If so, do you have Rockband2? I’d love to be your friend on the PS3 Network. I prefer drums.

Hi Jason, we have been faithfully following you since your visit.  I have to tell you that the folks I work with are always asking about you guys.  They follow you and the group too. One co-worker in particular Leslie loves you.  Today I am gifting her one of the CD’s you sent us.  She is going on a trip and wanted to hear you all the way.  It’s true you are the best.  God Bless You!  Love to Melissa and Riley

I have heard you guys on the radio for a while and even though I live in South Florida it took me even longer to realize where the name Tenth Avenue North came from. I just bought the Over and Underneath CD. Like I said I have you guys before, but I read the inside jacket and when you asked that we not just listen to the tune but really hear the words to the songs, I thought that it was a strange request. I have never been asked to do that. So I did. I have been playing the CD over and over and over. Considering what I have been through the last two years, I felt as if you had been told by somebody what has been happening, because all of these songs on the CD express exactly how I feel. I know that I should not be so shocked since God is so mighty, but I am. Thank you!

    Hi Jason,

My husband and I just saw you guys last night at Immanel’s church in Silver Spring. Thank you SO MUCH for sharing your hearts and energy. Your daughter was adorable! I think she has a future in speaking.

The concert had a depth we don’t always see at Christian concerts and the temptation for the whole idolatry thing - placing you performers on pedestals - I think Mike sufficiently crumbled that and put Jesus there. God is using you. I only wish this thing you are doing was around in my youth. At the ripe old age of 47 - I needed to hear everything Mike shared. I guess it’s never too late. Keep doing what you’re doing - keep it real. You all are in my prayers!

Just wanted to tell you guys a big THANK YOU for coming to Oklahoma. We trraveled over an hour away to see you guys. It was really a blessing to have you guys here. I really appreciate all that your music does in glorifying our savior, and for never once putting yourself or anyone before God. Last night I got to bring two friends to your concert who have been really struggling with Christianity and religion. It was such a blessing to see both of them really open up to your songs and to see them left their hands praising God! I really think it has made them see a new light! I will be praying for you guys and the tour, and that it me bless many more people and open thier hearts to our Lord ans savior Jesus Christ. Thanks again, and Hope to see you back in OK.

Thank you Sophia! thank you Jason!  I just wasn’t sure.  I’ll be sponsoring a couple.  Again, thank you both for answering me, I appreciate it.  I kept hearing about it but not understanding exactly what it was and didn’t want to wait until you guys came to Joisey (which is only next Saturday). I know, I gotta work on patience.  God, help me with that one too, please.

    God Bless,

I had decided sometime ago after seeing the band perform a few times before that I would be attending your concert in OKC. But to my surprise there was more! Sharing pizza and conversation about the gospel with you guys was a moment our group of ten will never forget! Thank you so very much! The music was awesome( love Audrey and Brenton) and the words inspiring. Sincere is the word that comes to mind, this was the atmosphere we felt with you. God’s love is present and real.

Thank you guys, so very much for coming here to Oklahoma, I wish we could have made you feel more at home, but…lol. We would all like you to have fun and look at our state as just another home or place for you to crash when you need to, or a place with christ loveing open arms, that are there for anything and everything. If you need some prayer or know someone who does never hesitate to e-mail. Oh and to Mike, congrats on the new girl. Well, you guys keep doing what god has called you to do, do it with love over, underneath, inside, and in between!

    P.S.
And to who ever signed my CD and put Psalms 91 on it thank you, thats a soldier’s psalms…and if your interested I have a book you might be interested in that helped me through Basic Training!

Yes, for $38 a month you get to be a sponsor for children in third world countries.  Your money goes to provide food, shelter, education, heath check ups, etc.  It is pretty awesome because you get to interact with the child through letters and photos.  They also provide opportunities for you to visit your sponsored child.  What is even more exciting is that you get to be the hands and feet of Jesus and truly care for those in need.  Check them out at www.compassion.com

Okay, Laurie compassion children. Comes from the organization Compassion International. Anyone can sponsor a child, so you send about $30 a month to the agency and they provide for a certain child. You get a picture or the child, and updates on the education and food that your paying for. I think that’s basically it. anyone can correct me if I’m wrong.

Please, can someone tell me what “compassion children” mean?  I don’t mean to sound stupid or ignorant, but I’m not gettin it.  I’d really appreciate it.  Is it families or adults sponsoring a child who is underprivileged?  I know you’re all so swamped and busy, but could you please send some sort of response.
Please and thank you and God Bless You and I can’t wait to see you in Jersey (smile).  Laurie S.
